In Kazakhstan, payment rules for travelling on toll roads have been changed. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has increased the voluntary payment period for individuals from 7 to 30 days. The new rules provide for a separate payment procedure for legal entities and will come into force 10 days after official publication.

Father and son were detained in connection with a drug laboratory case in the Akmola Region.

In the Akmola region, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have shut down an underground laboratory producing synthetic drugs. During the special operation, a 54-year-old man and his 26-year-old son were detained. 200 kg of mephedrone, more than 2 tonnes of precursors, as well as laboratory equipment, were seized from illegal circulation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan has sent 51 stalking cases to court.

In Kazakhstan, 51 cases have been sent to court since criminal liability for stalking was introduced. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 36 cases the suspects were placed in temporary detention facilities. The investigation is being conducted under Article 115-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides for liability for unlawful persecution.

A foreigner has been acquitted in a fatal road traffic accident case in Aktobe

The specialised inter-district criminal court of Aktobe region has acquitted a 33-year-old Kyrgyz citizen, Ramazan Infurov, in the case of a road traffic accident on the Samara – Shymkent highway, in which four people died. The jury concluded that there was no element of a criminal offence. The court also recognised the defendant’s right to compensation for harm caused by unlawful criminal prosecution.

Orthodox cemetery in Uralsk put up for auction

In Uralsk, a plot with an Orthodox cemetery covering 15.4137 hectares at the address N. Sdykov Street, 3/1 has been put up for auction. The land is being transferred into trust management for a period of 10 years. The management company will be responsible for maintaining the area and will be able to generate income from funeral services.

In the Specialised Inter-District Criminal Court of Astana, the indictment was read out in the case of the blogger couple Yerbolat Zhanabylov and Elmira Tolegenova. The Ministry of Agriculture plans to open beef exports for small farms

Министерство сельского хозяйства Казахстана вынесло на публичное обсуждение проект изменений в правила экспорта говядины. Предлагается снизить входной порог для откормочных площадок с собственными мясокомбинатами до 500 голов и открыть доступ к экспорту через сторонние предприятия для ферм с поголовьем от 5 тыс. голов. Обсуждение завершается 19 марта 2026 года.

The police of the Kostanay region have announced a tender for the rental of video recorders worth 764.8 million tenge.

The Department of Police of Kostanay Region, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has posted a tender on the public procurement portal for the rental of 1,036 body-worn video recorders based on smartphones. The total value of the lot is 764.8 million tenge. The submission of bids is scheduled from 14 to 21 January.

According to them, they were not informed about the video recording or the procedure for accessing the footage. The administration of the medical facility stated that the system was installed to ensure the security of equipment and is not used for monitoring patients.

The manufacturer — «Maslo-Del» LLP — acknowledged the existence of a defective batch and reported a technical fault at the plant. Customers are offered a refund or exchange of the product upon presentation of the receipt.
