In Kazakhstan, payment rules for travelling on toll roads have been changed. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has increased the voluntary payment period for individuals from 7 to 30 days. The new rules provide for a separate payment procedure for legal entities and will come into force 10 days after official publication.

In the Akmola region, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have shut down an underground laboratory producing synthetic drugs. During the special operation, a 54-year-old man and his 26-year-old son were detained. 200 kg of mephedrone, more than 2 tonnes of precursors, as well as laboratory equipment, were seized from illegal circulation.

In Kazakhstan, 51 cases have been sent to court since criminal liability for stalking was introduced. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 36 cases the suspects were placed in temporary detention facilities. The investigation is being conducted under Article 115-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which provides for liability for unlawful persecution.

Oil spills were observed on the surface of the Irtysh River in the area of the warm current. Ecologists from the Department of Ecology of Pavlodar Region have already taken water samples. The results of laboratory tests are promised to be announced in two days.

The specialised inter-district criminal court of Aktobe region has acquitted a 33-year-old Kyrgyz citizen, Ramazan Infurov, in the case of a road traffic accident on the Samara – Shymkent highway, in which four people died. The jury concluded that there was no element of a criminal offence. The court also recognised the defendant’s right to compensation for harm caused by unlawful criminal prosecution.

In Uralsk, a plot with an Orthodox cemetery covering 15.4137 hectares at the address N. Sdykov Street, 3/1 has been put up for auction. The land is being transferred into trust management for a period of 10 years. The management company will be responsible for maintaining the area and will be able to generate income from funeral services.

In the Specialised Inter-District Criminal Court of Astana, the indictment was read out in the case of the blogger couple Yerbolat Zhanabylov and Elmira Tolegenova. According to the prosecution's version, they organised an illegal lottery under the guise of selling online courses. The investigation believes that the main purpose of the project was to attract funds from citizens to participate in prize draws.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Decree establishing an Interdepartmental Commission for Crime Prevention under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Commission will coordinate the work of state bodies in the field of crime prevention.

Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has introduced amendments to the rules for granting and servicing budget loans. The amendments relate to procedures for debt restructuring, early repayment, and the decision-making process for changing lending conditions.
