Ahead of the last school bell, the Almaty police urged parents, teachers and graduates to observe safety measures during the festive events. Law enforcement officers paid particular attention to dangerous car rides, which often become part of graduation celebrations.

The Court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) allowed the enforcement of nearly $1.4 billion from Gazprom in favour of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. The court recognised the arbitration award and issued permission for its enforcement in the territory of Kazakhstan.

On 19 May, a road traffic accident (RTA) was recorded in Kokshetau, in which a car drove onto the pavement and hit a child. The minor sustained minor injuries and, after being examined by medics, was discharged home.
