The Government of Kazakhstan has responded to a Senate deputy inquiry regarding the condition of land and flora. According to official data, around 30 million hectares of agricultural land are affected by erosion. The Cabinet stated that existing digital monitoring systems and updated studies allow the situation to be monitored without creating a new separate structure.

At the "Chorsu" market in Tashkent, chilled lamb is being sold from a Kazakhstani lorry. Specialised Inter-District Criminal Court of Shymkent has passed a sentence in the case of a transnational organised group involved in the production and distribution of psychotropic substances. Eighteen individuals appeared before the court. The organiser of the laboratory received 16 years' imprisonment. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
