SCAT Airlines has acknowledged that during the Almaty - Astana flight on 1 June, an uncomfortable temperature level may have been observed in one area of the passenger cabin, causing a feeling of stuffiness among some passengers. The carrier gave this response almost three weeks after a request from the FBK editorial team, yet it has still not disclosed the reasons for the incident.

The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek has passed a sentence on the former chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchybek Tashiev, and seven other defendants in the case known as "Letter 75". The court found them guilty on one of the charges, sentencing each to four years' imprisonment. However, at the same time, probation was applied to the convicts, meaning they will not serve their sentences in a penal colony.
