The Government of Kazakhstan has allocated approximately 2.5 billion tenge for the repair of heating networks in the Abai region. The funds will be directed towards preparing the heat supply system of the city of Semey for the upcoming heating season. The relevant decree was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

Two citizens of Kazakhstan, Anuar Abdrakhmanov and Tair Smagul, have been charged in the US with massive fraud involving Medicare and insurance payouts totalling more than $1 billion. According to the investigation, through the companies Priority One Medical Equipment and Medical Home Care Inc., fraudulent invoices were submitted for medical equipment and services that patients never received.
