Almira Nurlybekova, the mother of Kuandyk Bishimbayev, who was convicted of murder, has filed a financial claim against his former wife, Nazym Kakharaman. According to Kakharaman, the amount claimed is around 25 million tenge and relates to income from the family business.

Kazakhstan and China plan to produce aviation biofuel from oilseed crops

In Kostanay, a court has handed down a sentence in a case involving illegal microfinance activity and the legalisation of criminal proceeds. According to the investigation, a local resident issued loans secured against property without a licence, and the court sentenced him to 2 years and 8 months' imprisonment. The sentence has not yet come into legal force.

After repairs costing 5 million tenge, potholes remain at the hydro-engineering facility in Petropavlovsk.

After five days of repairs, a new section of asphalt around 50 metres long has appeared on the bridge of the Petropavlovsk hydroelectric complex. At the same time, the approaches to the structure and the main part of the road on the dam remain covered in deep potholes.

After the FB RK editorial board publicly raised the question of the effectiveness of the Tasqyn and Talsim-NG digital water systems, the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources sent an official response from the department. It contained no measurable results of the systems' performance.

Ministry of Water Resources left water metering out of discussion at the conference on its conservation.
