President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Special Legal Regime of the City of Alatau". The document introduces a special legal status for the city and a new governance model, covering the economy, investment, digital infrastructure and the social sphere.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has reported eight cases of hantavirus infection among passengers on the cruise ship MV Hondius. As of 6 May, three cases of infection have been laboratory-confirmed.

JSC "Kazakhtelecom" has published its financial results for the year 2025. The document shows that the total remuneration for the chairman of the management board, Bagdat Mussin, and the company's key management personnel amounted to 752.3 million tenge.
