JSC "Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation (SEC) Tobol" has revised its management and remuneration system after violations were identified during a state audit. The inspection covered the corporation's activities for 2023–2024 and revealed issues in performance assessment and the distribution of rewards.

The authorities have confirmed flooding and erosion of a section of road in the Akzhar district of the North Kazakhstan region. A build-up of water occurred near the village of Bostandyk. It is reported that the flooding is linked to intensive snowmelt and the inflow of floodwaters.

The Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) has completed its investigation into a case of property damage arising from the procurement of medicines in Kazakhstan. According to the investigation, the damage to the budget amounted to 3.7 billion tenge, and the amount of cash withdrawn exceeded 4 billion tenge.

A BBC investigation has shown that the purchase of Prince Andrew’s former residence in the UK in 2007 may have been partly financed by funds from a company that the Italian prosecutor's office linked to corrupt payments. The buyer was Kazakh billionaire Timur Kulibayev, the son-in-law of the former president of Kazakhstan. Kulibayev himself denies corruption and calls the deal lawful.

Former mayor of Shymkent, Gabidulla Abdrakhimov, has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations at Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC and assumed the position on 29 December 2025, the fund's press service reported and several Kazakh media outlets confirmed. However, he is not officially a member of the company's board of directors.

The conflict in the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture has escalated beyond the usual professional disagreements. The head of the Human Resources and Organisational Work Department, and the committee’s ethics officer, Alfiya Zhamkenova, has sent an appeal to Vice-Minister Amangaliy Berdalin, requesting that he take the situation under control and conduct an official investigation into the actions of the committee’s chairman, Kazbek Tashimov.
