The sister of one of the men convicted of violent sodomy and sentenced to 8 years in prison has contacted the FBRK editorial office. She claims that her brother is innocent, and that the case is based on police pressure and weak evidence.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources reported that the anniversary meeting of the Interstate Coordination Water Management Commission was not included in the action plan which formed part of the tender documentation. A public conflict has erupted around Kazakhstan's largest semi-wild saiga breeding project in the Korgalzhyn district of the Akmola region. The trigger was statements by hunter and public activist Batyr Seikenov, who questioned the legality of certain aspects of the project's implementation. The editors of FB RK examined the documents, compared them with public statements from both sides, and visited the territory of the nursery.

In the Auliekol district of Kostanay region, restrictions have been introduced in the villages of Kazanbasy and Oktyabrskoye due to brucellosis. Of the 323 heads of cattle examined, 23 were confirmed to have the infection, and they have been sent for sanitary slaughter.
