In Kazakhstan, a large-scale criminal and administrative amnesty is being prepared, which could affect more than 15,000 people. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that it will apply to citizens who have committed minor offences, as well as crimes of medium gravity, provided that the damage is fully compensated.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered inspections of public catering establishments to ensure compliance with requirements for the storage and use of gas cylinders. According to the investigation, the funds were transferred on the basis of fictitious completion certificates. The criminal case has been sent to court.

During a government briefing, journalists asked the Minister of Agriculture, Aidarbek Saparov, about subsidies received by his relatives. The discussion concerned 713.5 million tenge allocated in 2019–2020 to his brother’s business. The minister did not disclose the amount of state support over recent years and stated that he is not involved in family affairs.

The court recovered 1.7 million tenge for an unworked grant in the Zhambyl region.

The defendant failed to fulfil the obligation to work after receiving the diploma. The court ruled to recover 1.7 million tenge from him.
