Interest in online polls on social media is declining amid falling trust in sociological research. There have been reports in the media about the possible detention in Almaty of Zhamalbek Bekdaulet, the nephew of the former akim of the Zhambyl region, Amalbek Tshanov. It is reported that the suspicion may involve organising international drug trafficking from Thailand. No official confirmation had been provided at the time of publication.

The materials are being prepared for transfer to the relevant investigative authorities.

In the Zhambyl region, the tariff for the wastewater disposal service of the State Municipal Enterprise (GKP) "Zhambyl Su" has been temporarily reduced. The decision was made after violations were identified in the implementation of the enterprise's investment programme. An administrative fine has also been imposed on the enterprise.
