Vice-Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov has commented on the situation regarding the deaths of saiga antelopes and livestock in the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR). According to him, specialists are conducting surveys and laboratory tests, and no threat of mass livestock mortality is observed.

The Ural City Court found M. Zhonysov, an expert from the Institute of Forensic Examinations for the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR), guilty of delivering a knowingly false expert opinion. The court sentenced him to a restriction of liberty for a period of 3 years.
