At Lake Aidabol in the Zerenda district of the Akmola region, a mass fish die-off has been recorded. Specialists from the Yesil interregional basin fisheries inspection, the veterinary service, and the ecology department of the Akmola region have taken water samples and fish specimens for laboratory analysis. Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed the export of grain under fictitious transactions and illegal bonus payments from the budget at the Karaganda Agricultural Experimental Station, subordinate to NANOC.
