After a road traffic accident (RTA) involving a lorry transporting nectarines on the Samara — Shymkent highway in the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR), local residents began to salvage the undamaged cargo. According to eyewitnesses, arguments and scuffles broke out among people as they collected the fruit scattered along the road.

In Kazakhstan, the state audit of the effectiveness of tax and customs administration for 2025 has been completed. The inspection showed that the republican budget received 730 billion tenge less in tax revenues, and also revealed financial and procedural violations.

In the Ulytau region, 31 land plots with a total value of 443 million tenge have been returned to state ownership. Violations were identified in the allocation and use of land plots in the Zhanaarka district and Zhezkazgan.
