The Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC) has completed an audit of the efficiency of the use of state assets in JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" and its subsidiary structures. The audit covered the activities of the Fund and 18 legal entities, including "Kazatomprom", "Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu" and a number of other large companies.

In the Almaty region, plans are underway to create a new gambling zone within the territory of the high-altitude resort 'Aq-Bulaq'. The regional akimat is drafting a resolution on the boundaries of the future zone, while the authorised bodies are finalising work on a bill that will officially include the tourist centre in the list of territories where gambling businesses are permitted for foreign citizens.

At Safi Utebayev University, a meeting entitled "Start with yourself, protect yourself" was held as part of the international campaign "16 days of active action against gender-based violence" and the ideology of "Law and order". The event was aimed at fostering zero tolerance among young people for any manifestations of violence, improving the culture of safety, and teaching practical self-defence skills.

In the Abai region, the court sentenced a former akim of a rural district, who was found guilty of embezzling budget funds allocated for public works. The amount of damage exceeded 500 thousand tenge.

In the Kostanay region, the police, in cooperation with the prosecutor's office, have shut down a group suspected of illegally harvesting and selling timber.
