The FBEC editorial team continues to examine documents revealing the complex system of control over the export of beef and live cattle from Kazakhstan. The materials obtained show how formal government decisions could create advantages for certain companies, and how the subsequent transit and export of meat allowed quotas to be bypassed and records kept with state bodies to be minimised.

In the city of Shu (Zhambyl Region), customers complained about the quality of «Petropavlovskoye» 2.5% milk bought at retail outlets in the city. The manufacturer — «Maslo-Del» LLP — acknowledged the existence of a defective batch and reported a technical fault at the plant. Customers are offered a refund or exchange of the product upon presentation of the receipt.

Not all Kazakhstani officials have published their income declarations for 2024, as only declarations from certain categories of office holders are subject to mandatory publication. The Agency for Civil Service Affairs (ACSA) explained that if there are no additional sources of income, publication is not required. All civil servants have submitted their information in accordance with the established procedure.

A young doctor, invited to work in the city of Alatau, stated that after publishing a post about the condition of official accommodation, she was told there was no order confirming her employment. According to her, however, the documents were completed, and the order was read out and signed. The Akimat of Almaty Region told journalists that she is not a civil servant.

In the Pavlodar region, an investigation has been launched into new episodes of the financial pyramid HAS's activities. Earlier, the court had already sentenced the organisers to imprisonment, and part of the property acquired with investors' funds was confiscated to cover damages. Now, investigative authorities are recording new statements from victims.
