Basin water inspections have uncovered hundreds of cases of unauthorised and non-targeted water use this year. According to the committee for regulation, protection, and use of water resources, inspections were carried out across different regions of the country, and the volume of violations exceeded last year's figures.

At the CITES conference in Samarkand on 5 December, 111 countries voted to remove the zero export quota on saiga horn from the Kazakh population. The inspection covered 61.8 billion tenge of budget funds allocated for relocation from emergency housing, the construction of social housing, and the completion of problematic projects. The audit revealed numerous financial and administrative violations.

A temporary waste storage site in the village of Ozerki, Zhanasemei district, Abai region, built in 2023 for 8 million tenge, has fallen into a state of disrepair. According to local residents, part of the fencing has collapsed, and the waste has spread far beyond the designated area.
