The prosecutor's office has identified multi-million violations in the compulsory social medical insurance (OSMS) system of the Turkestan region.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Turkestan Region has uncovered instances of the illegal receipt of compulsory social health insurance funds and the fictitious provision of medical services. Cases have been identified of consultations without licences totalling 91 million tenge, and the over-reporting of dental services amounting to 203 million tenge. In respect of some episodes, the damage has been compensated and the case closed; for others, materials have been sent to court under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The prosecutor's office of the Zhetisu region revealed that the management company "Khorgos International Centre for Border Cooperation" had illegally charged 19 investors VAT for two years when calculating water supply tariffs, despite the tax exemptions of the SEZ. Not all Kazakhstani officials have published their income declarations for 2024, as only declarations from certain categories of office holders are subject to mandatory publication. The Agency for Civil Service Affairs (ACSA) explained that if there are no additional sources of income, publication is not required.
