The Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan has proposed requiring the patient’s IIN to be indicated on cash receipts when paying for medical services and purchasing medicines. According to the draft, this will strengthen control over FSMS funds, increase transparency of payments, and reduce the shadow turnover. The initiative is being discussed amid identified systemic violations in the compulsory social health insurance system and inspections in the healthcare sector.

The mayor of the Karatau district has been held disciplinarily accountable following a video of a fight in Shymkent.

Almas Abaev, the akim of the Karatau district of Shymkent, has been brought to disciplinary responsibility following an official investigation launched because of a video on social media. The Ethics Commission of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs (ACS) identified a violation of standards of official ethics and recommended issuing a warning about incomplete professional compliance. The decision was implemented by an order of the city’s akim dated 6 April 2026.

It involves a method that uses the function of linking additional devices without cracking passwords or swapping SIM cards. Users have been urged to check their list of linked devices and not to share verification codes with third-party resources.
