How sand extraction is destroying the Ilek River in the Aktobe region
The FBK editorial office has received reports from residents of the Aktobe region concerned about the condition of the Ilek River. According to them, new quarries for the extraction of sand and sand-and-gravel mixtures are actively appearing along the floodplain. People fear that interference with the riverbed and floodplain system could have consequences not only for the ecology but also for the region's water supply.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov met with farmers in the Zhetysu region and informed them about state support measures for agricultural workers. In the region, 256 farmers have received concessional loans at 5% worth 8.2 billion tenge. Following the prosecutor's office's intervention, over 100 million tenge in damages was reimbursed to the state, and two criminal cases have been sent to court.

The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market has stated that the participation of artificial intelligence on the board of directors of the Samruk-Kazyna fund does not comply with the legislation on joint-stock companies. The regulator pointed out that only a natural person can be a member of the board of directors.
