The Ministry of Agriculture reported on financing for farmers and growth in grain exports

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Taszhurekov met with farmers in the Zhetysu region and informed them about state support measures for agricultural workers. In the region, 256 farmers have received concessional loans at 5% worth 8.2 billion tenge. Sown areas have also been increased to 512,000 hectares, and Kazakhstan has boosted its grain exports to 15.3 million tonnes.

Fictitious medical services worth 100 million tenge uncovered in Pavlodar

The Pavlodar Regional Prosecutor's Office has uncovered violations in the spending of Social Health Insurance Fund (FSMS) funds in Pavlodar. The inspection revealed fictitiously documented medical services, double payment for treatment, and provision of assistance without the necessary permits. Following the prosecutor's office's intervention, over 100 million tenge in damages was reimbursed to the state, and two criminal cases have been sent to court.

In the Aktobe region, an investigation into the illegal operation of a pawnshop without a licence has been completed. According to the investigation, the suspect granted loans secured against equipment through commission shops from 2020 to 2025, charging interest rates of up to 3.7% per day. The criminal case has been sent to court, and cars and a flat have been seized.

The Ministry of Health has reported three fatal cases of rabies in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, three fatal cases of rabies were registered in 2025, whereas no such cases were recorded in 2024. Since the beginning of 2026, no new cases among the population have been identified. The Ministry of Health also reported tens of thousands of visits following animal bites and reminded the public of the importance of urgent vaccination and prevention.

Mass death of horses occurred in Mangystau region due to bad weather

In the Mangystau region, following heavy rain and wind, the deaths of more than 100 horses have been recorded. Cases of livestock mortality were identified in the Mangystau district between the village of Sayotes and the 7th crossing. Authorities have deployed machinery and drones to search for the animals, and are also considering compensation for owners of registered livestock.

Hundreds of millions of tenge embezzled from medical insurance funds are being investigated in Astana

In Astana, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the director of two private clinics over the possible illegal receipt of funds from the Social Health Insurance Fund. According to the investigation, information was entered into the system about patients who did not actually receive medical services. The suspect has been placed in custody, and his property has been seized.

The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market has stated that the participation of artificial intelligence on the board of directors of the Samruk-Kazyna fund does not comply with the legislation on joint-stock companies. The regulator pointed out that only a natural person can be a member of the board of directors. This position was set out in an official response to a request from the QAMS Association of Minority Shareholders.

The Speaker of the Mazhilis pointed out to the Vice-Minister of Trade his lack of preparedness for the deputies' questions.

At a meeting of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration Aidar Abildabekov was unable to answer a number of questions from deputies during discussions on a bill to ratify an agreement within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
