A fire broke out on the roof of a four-storey building under construction at the Saranda residential complex in Astana. The fire has been fully extinguished, and according to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the fire occurred in the Yesil district on E-871 Street, where the roof of a four-storey building under construction caught fire. By the time the first fire crews arrived, open flames and thick black smoke were observed coming from the roof.
To extinguish the fire, firefighters immediately deployed fire hoses and took the necessary measures to put it out.
HOW THE FIREFIGHTING OPERATION ENDED
The MES reported that the fire has been completely extinguished over an area of 150 square metres. After the open flames were put out, rescuers continued dousing and dismantling structures to eliminate any hidden sources of ignition.
ARE THERE ANY CASUALTIES
According to preliminary data, no reports of casualties were received on the 112 emergency line. The cause of the fire is being established, and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
