The Prosecutor's Office of the North Kazakhstan Region has identified systemic violations of veterinary legislation, which affect several districts of the region at once and create risks for sanitary safety.

The doctor accused of negligence leading to the death of Balkhash resident Meruert Aulbayeva has escaped punishment. On 6 November 2025, two years after the tragedy, the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution expired.
