In Shymkent, a man born in 1982 has been found guilty of illegally storing 1,977 deer antlers, which are derivatives of animals listed in the Red Book. The damage to nature has been estimated at nearly 3 billion tenge. The court sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months in prison, and also ordered him to pay court costs. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
