In Almaty, the planned reconstruction of the park at the 'Atakent' business cooperation centre, costing over 10 billion tenge, has been suspended. The tender to select a contractor was cancelled at the request of the prosecutor's office.

The Prosecutor General, Berik Asylov, stated that this year the prosecution authorities, together with Kazakhtelecom JSC, launched an Anti-Call Centre in Astana — a project that can intercept calls from phone scammers and prevent crimes before they are even committed.

There are obvious problems with the process of opening branches of foreign universities in Kazakhstan — in at least one region. As has become known, the Sh. Yessenov Caspian University of Technology and Engineering began accepting students for a branch of the Technical University of Berlin before the branch itself had actually opened.
