Meat exports from Kazakhstan distort statistics by understating customs value?
According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2025 the country exported 32.3 thousand tonnes of beef for $127.4 million — at an average price of around $3.95 per kg. Industry analysts note that a significant portion of shipments went through at prices below $2 per kg, which experts attribute not to genuine dumping but to the deliberate undervaluation of customs value.
