More than 1.2 billion tenge will be returned to consumers in Kazakhstan following the recalculation of heating charges for the 2025–2026 heating period. The recalculation affected consumers who do not have heat energy metering devices.
HOW THE AMOUNT WAS CALCULATED
According to the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies, the recalculation was carried out taking into account the actual outdoor air temperature. The amount is reflected on the personal account as a separate line in the form of an advance — a balance.
The largest recalculation amounts were in Astana — 460.6 million tenge, the East Kazakhstan Region — 298.5 million tenge and the Mangystau Region — 161.6 million tenge.
HOW MUCH WILL BE RETURNED IN THE REGIONS
Consumers in Almaty will be returned 57.7 million tenge, in Shymkent — 38.5 million tenge, in the Kyzylorda Region — 42.2 million tenge, in the Pavlodar Region — 29.1 million tenge, in the Zhambyl Region — 26 million tenge.
In the Kostanay Region the amount was 25.6 million tenge, in the Atyrau Region — 22 million tenge, in the Akmola Region — 13.9 million tenge, in the North Kazakhstan Region — 14.5 million tenge, in the Almaty Region — 12.7 million tenge.
In addition, the recalculation amounted to 11 million tenge in the Aktobe Region, 1.8 million tenge in the West Kazakhstan Region, 370 thousand tenge in the Turkistan Region and 270 thousand tenge in the Abai Region.
WHERE NO SEPARATE RECALCULATION WAS CARRIED OUT
In the Karaganda Region, the Ulytau Region and the Zhetisu Region, no separate recalculation was carried out. The cost of services in these regions was already calculated taking into account the actual outdoor air temperature.
At the same time, in Astana, charges were adjusted monthly during the heating season taking into account changes in the actual outdoor air temperature.
In the previous 2024–2025 heating period, consumers without heat energy metering devices were returned about 1.5 billion tenge.
