In Semey, the Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) for the Abai region has shut down an illegal workshop producing alcohol without a licence. According to the investigation, a local resident organised the manufacturing of products using counterfeit excise stamps. During searches, over 12,000 bottles, raw materials and equipment were seized. The court has placed a lien on the property, and a preventive measure has been selected for the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

In Almaty, the process of seizing 270 land plots for the construction of the first LRT line has begun, marking the practical phase of a project that has been under discussion since the 2010s.

According to the investigation, the suspect coordinated the use of third-party accounts for transactions involving funds obtained from online fraud. One of the participants voluntarily came forward to the authorities, after which the accounts were frozen. The suspect has been taken into custody, and the case has been sent to court.

On 31 March, three earthquakes were registered in Kazakhstan’s Zhetisu region. The strongest occurred at night near Zharkent with a magnitude of 4.4. The other two tremors were recorded during the day, with an intensity of 2 points. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, there were no casualties or damage, and no calls were received on the 112 emergency number.
