In the Almaty region, a court has passed a sentence in a case concerning the illegal receipt of government subsidies and the issuing of fictitious electronic invoices. Two participants in the scheme were sentenced to terms of imprisonment of up to 6 years.

The court ordered JSC «KazNIISA» to return 894 million 177 thousand tenge to the state budget in a dispute related to contracts for the seismic resistance inspection of facilities in Almaty. The decision of the appellate instance came into force on 13 March 2026.

The Department of Trade and Consumer Rights Protection for the West Kazakhstan Region filed a court claim on behalf of 21 consumers who had completed training at an online school for marketplace manager preparation. The court annulled 21 contracts and ordered two individual entrepreneurs to pay 490,000 tenge and 20,000 tenge in moral damages to each consumer. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
