The Supreme Audit Chamber has announced the results of the certification of state auditors for Q2 2026. Following four meetings of the National Commission , 41 candidates were awarded the qualification of state auditor, and a further three were awarded the qualification of state auditor of the highest category.
WHAT RESULTS WERE ANNOUNCED
During Q2 2026, four meetings of the National Commission for the Certification of Persons Applying for the Award of the Qualification of State Auditor at the Relevant Level took place. A total of 64 candidates took part in the certification process.
Following the procedure, the qualification of state auditor was awarded to 41 candidates, and a further 3 candidates were awarded the qualification of state auditor of the highest category. Meanwhile, 20 applicants were refused the award of qualification.
HOW CERTIFICATION WORKS
Certification is carried out in two stages. In the first stage, candidates demonstrate their level of professional knowledge by sitting a qualification examination in the form of a test. This is organised by the Centre for Research, Analysis and Effectiveness Evaluation LLP.
The examination covers questions on accounting, the preparation of financial statements by state institutions and quasi-public sector organisations, compliance audit, performance audit, and other relevant disciplines.
WHAT IS ASSESSED IN THE SECOND STAGE
The second stage takes the form of an interview with members of the National Commission. During this stage, candidates' professional knowledge and competencies, practical preparation, personal qualities, and their commitment to the principles of professional ethics required of state auditors are assessed.
