In the Baiterek district of the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR), the prosecutor's office secured an extension of the land lease term for the investment project of KAZMEAT Akzhaik LLP worth 1.2 billion tenge.
HOW THE LAND ISSUE WAS RESOLVED
According to the prosecutor's office of the WKR, the investor needed to extend the land lease term in order to continue implementing the project.
KAZMEAT Akzhaik LLP submitted a corresponding request to the district akimat. However, the request was not reviewed within the established timeframe, which led to delays in resolving the matter.
Following this, the investor turned to the Baiterek district prosecutor's office to protect their rights. As a result of the prosecutor's intervention, the land lease term was extended.
WHAT THE PROJECT INVOLVES
The investment project is valued at 1.2 billion tenge. It involves the creation of a regular irrigation system for feed production and a breeding-reproduction farm.
Once the project reaches full capacity, the enterprise will be able to produce feed across 800 hectares and house 200 head of cattle. The project also involves the creation of 30 new jobs and an increase in agricultural output.
WHO WAS HELD ACCOUNTABLE
Following the review of the prosecutor's act, the guilty official was brought to disciplinary responsibility.
The Baiterek district prosecutor's office, together with the Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights of the General Prosecutor's Office, continues its work to remove administrative barriers and protect the legitimate interests of businesses.
