In Aktobe a young woman died after a knife attack in the courtyard of a multi-storey building. A 28-year-old resident of Atyrau has been detained on suspicion of murder. The moment of the attack was caught on CCTV.
HOW THE ATTACK HAPPENED
According to the Telegram channel “HALYQSTAN”, at night the young woman was sitting on a bench near the entrance when a young man approached her. A conversation took place between them, after which the young woman stood up and was about to leave.
At that moment the man took out a knife, which he had been holding behind his back, and struck the young woman in the lower back. He then carried the injured woman out of the camera's view. She died at the scene from the wound she received.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE SUSPECT
According to preliminary police data, the detained man knew the deceased. It is assumed that a conflict between them preceded the attack.
WHAT STAGE THE CASE IS AT
The Police Department (PD) of Aktobe Region reported that a criminal case has been opened. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility (IDF).
The investigation is under the supervision of the leadership of the regional police department.
