CONTEXT
In March, another high-profile incident occurred on a bus in Oskemen. According to eyewitnesses, a man harassed two girls aged 11–12, causing them to get off the bus before their stop.
A young man then intervened: he tried to stop the man and remove him from the bus. As a result, the conflict drew the attention of other passengers.
Notably, following the investigation, both parties involved in the conflict were brought to account. One was penalised for harassment in a public place, while the student himself was penalised for minor hooliganism after using physical force.
Later, MP Lukbek Tumashinov honoured the student, describing his actions as a display of civic responsibility.
