According to JSC «NC «KazAvtoZhol», road service workers clean up rubbish daily, clean sanitary areas, maintain toilets, and look after roadside infrastructure on national highways.
The company noted that the cost of this work amounts to nearly 1 billion tenge. These funds could have been used for developing the road network, improving safety, and enhancing services.
WHAT VIOLATIONS ARE BEING RECORDED BY ROAD WORKERS
The company reported that video recordings made on the roads have captured instances where drivers and passengers throw out waste, smoke in unauthorised areas, relieve themselves outside toilets, and litter the verges and rest areas.
In addition, some local residents use roadside containers for disposing of household rubbish, construction waste, and even the carcasses of dead animals.

JSC «NC «KazAvtoZhol» emphasised that the cleanliness of the highways is ensured daily by road service workers who carry out their duties in various weather conditions.
The company reminded that national highways are state infrastructure intended for public use, and therefore require careful treatment by citizens.
