From 1 to 10 September 2026, the Centre for Combating Disinformation debunked five widely circulated reports concerning notaries' enforcement endorsements, a fire in the Kostanay Region, a statement by the Prime Minister of Armenia, school uniforms and marriage registration.
HAVE NOTARIES BEEN BANNED FROM CANCELLING ENFORCEMENT ENDORSEMENTS
According to the Ministry of Justice, a debtor may still apply to a notary with an objection to an enforcement endorsement. A notary is also entitled to cancel it in cases provided for by law.
An objection may be submitted within 10 working days from the day of receiving the notification, stating specific reasons for disagreeing with the creditor's claim. If enforcement proceedings have already been initiated on the basis of an enforcement endorsement, a claim to challenge it must be filed with a court.
WERE RESIDENTS OF URNEK ACTUALLY EVACUATED
The akimat of the Kostanay Region and the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) of the Kostanay Region reported that no evacuation of residents of the village of Urnek in the Karabalyk District is being carried out.
At the same time, the very fact that a natural fire crossed from the territory of Russia into the Karabalyk District was confirmed. The burning of steppe vegetation partially spread to the territory of the Karadum Forestry. The situation is under the control of the DES.
WHAT NIKOL PASHINYAN ACTUALLY SAID
The circulated quote containing harsh statements about Kazakhstan turned out to be falsified.
The basis for the publication was the response of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to a journalist's question during a briefing on 3 September. In the original speech, he spoke about Armenia's independence in making state decisions. Kazakhstan was not mentioned.
CAN PARENTS BE FINED OVER TROUSERS
The Education Department of Astana denied information that a schoolgirl's parents could be fined specifically for the black colour of her trousers.
In general education schools in the capital, school uniforms in both black and dark blue are permitted. A separate conflict situation or the requirements of a specific school could have been presented as a general rule for all educational institutions.
DO KAZAKHSTANIS NEED TO RENEW THEIR MARRIAGE REGISTRATION
The Ministry of Justice explained that, in accordance with marriage and family legislation, a marriage is registered once and has no established period of validity. Therefore, its renewal is not required.
Reports about an allegedly mandatory "marriage renewal" may prompt users to follow links or share personal data, mistaking such a message for an official notification.
