A section of the embankment in Astana, which had been closed due to a nearby residence linked to Dariga Nazarbayeva, has been opened for public access. Following the completion of landscaping work, residents now have access to the pedestrian route along Atatürk Park.
WHAT HAS CHANGED ON THE SITE
According to Kursiv, renovation work on the embankment section on the side of Zhumabek Tashenev Street has been fully completed.

New paving stones have been laid here, along with black lamp posts and modern wooden benches in an eco-style. After the landscaping was finished, the area became accessible for public passage by residents and visitors to the city.

WHY THIS SITE ATTRACTED ATTENTION
Previously, this area housed a closed residence linked to Dariga Nazarbayeva. The company Transaktsiya LLP, which was owned by Dariga Nazarbayeva in 2021, was registered at this address.
At the end of 2024, the demolition of the building and clearance of the adjacent plots began on the site. The total area of the work is approximately 30,000 square metres.
