Officer of the Emergency Situations Department died on Lake Altynkol in the Zhetysu region
On Lake Altynkol in the Panfilov District of the Zhetysu Region, an employee of the Department for Emergency Situations died during a rescue operation. Major of Civil Protection Damir Taranov was taking part in rescuing a person who had become stranded on a detached ice floe. During the operation, a secondary fracture of the ice occurred.
