In the Kurmangazy district of the Atyrau region, an environmental campaign "Taza meken" took place, with participants cleaning the banks of the Kigash River and recreational areas in the village of Teniz. The event also included educational work on developing environmental volunteering.

WHAT WORK THE PARTICIPANTS CARRIED OUT

According to the Regional Communications Service, the campaign aimed to foster an environmental culture among the population and engage young people and volunteers in conservation initiatives.

During the campaign, participants cleaned the banks of the Kigash River and recreational areas of household waste. The surrounding areas were also tidied up.

The organisers note that such events help maintain the cleanliness of public spaces and involve residents in environmental initiatives.

WHY ATTENTION WAS FOCUSED ON THE VILLAGE OF TENIZ

The village of Teniz is considered one of the region's important tourist destinations. Of particular interest to tourists are the lotus fields, which bloom in July and August.

In this regard, the environmental campaign was organised on the eve of the tourist season. The materials note that the event aimed to preserve the cleanliness of natural areas and enhance the region's environmental appeal.

WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT ECO-VOLUNTEERING

As part of the campaign, a presentation was held on the topic "Fundamentals of Volunteering. Eco-Volunteering". Participants were briefed on the role and importance of environmental volunteering in society.

The event was aimed at increasing young people's interest in participating in conservation activities.

HOW THE CAMPAIGN CONCLUDED

At the end of the event, the most active participants were awarded certificates. In addition, a lottery was organised for the participants.
